Ava Ghosseiri developed a passion for reinterpreting traditional textile production to celebrate the rich heritage of Iranian design. Inspired by the traditional labor-intensive felting tradition dominated by men from the mountains of the north and west mountain regions of Iran, Ava uses softer materials and color stories to hand-craft one-of-a-kind collectible designs.
A graduate of Parsons The New School for Design, Ava showcased her women’s line and jewelry collection at Début New York for a year before interning at Lanvin. Ghosseiri then returned to school for a Fashion Technical Design and Production certificate from the Fashion Institute of Technology and went on to become creative director of Versani for five years.
The multi-talented Ghosseiri currently holds a full-time position with luxury fashion house Sachin + Babi/Ankasa in New York City.
